FEBRUARY 25th is ALABASTER Sunday.

All monies collected goes directly to missions.  The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings enhance ministry efforts and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots.”

FEBRUARY 25th is ALABASTER Sunday.

While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings enhance ministry efforts and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots.”

Call to Prayer

From time to time there will be news in our country that many Christians find deeply disturbing and troubling. One of the latest controversies has been around the Canada Summer Jobs Program and the restrictions put on faith based organizations if they desire to participate. What do we do?  Some will sign petitions, organizations will dialogue and debate.  But what do we, the church do? We pray.

2 Timothy 2:1-4 states, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

And so, we will continue to pray for God’s will to be done, on earth, as it is in heaven.
