This Week at Moncton First

Attention Choir Members…….Choir will be practicing @ 7:45 on Wednesdays.

Meals for Shut-ins….. “Thank you” to all who came and helped prepare and deliver the meals last Tuesday. The next date for preparing meals for shut-ins is April 12th. at noon. This is not a budgeted item, so if you would like to contribute, just mark your envelope.

Tuesday morning ladies class….@ 10:30am

ALL ladies Welcome.

The study is based on the movie War Room, “Prayer is a Powerful Weapon.”

“War Room” will strengthen your faith and ignite your passion for prayer. If you haven’t been to a Bible study yet, you are always welcome to come any Tuesday and join the group. This is a fantastic study on prayer led by Donna Gillies.

  • Kindergarten, Grade 1-2, Grade 3-4, Grade 5-6, Youth,
  • Ladies class, Men’s class, and mixed adult class.

Treasurer’s Update

  • Building fund for February was $990
  • Parking lot to date is $15,381

Dr. Bill Stewart has a new book hot off the press

“The Dynamic Trio – The Life Changing Power of Hope, Faith and Love.” If you would like a book, please speak to Audrey Flynn or Donna Gillies. Cost $16.

Membership Sunday

Sunday, April 10th has been designated as membership Sunday. If you are interested in joining the church or just curious about what Nazarenes believe, please speak to Pastor Patti today.

Teen Challenge – Sunday, May 1st

We have invited members of Teen Challenge to share their testimonies in the morning service.

 “Grow Conference” – May 13-14

Your discipleship ministries have organized a conference with various leaders from the district as well as Rev. Steve Ottley, a dynamic speaker with a heart for discipleship and ministry. Cost and more information to be announced.

Friday night & Saturday meals provided.

 May 15th – Guest Speaker

Rev. Steve Ottley, Assistant District Superintendent on the Canada Central district, will be speaking in the morning service.

Also, Sunday, May 15th, is our church annual meeting. We will have a pot luck supper at 5 p.m. followed directly by our annual meeting.

Ladies Retreat – April 22-24

A fellowship event for women of all ages with inspiring messages by Inspirational speaker, Christy Foldenauer and music by Ruth Collins and her worship team.

Retreat theme—“Becoming – The journey toward Christlikeness”

Becoming who we were created to be is a work that happens in us rather than to us.

Registration Fees:

  • $80 by March 30
  • $90 at the door
  • Saturday only – $50
