Silver Threads Ministry

On February 2nd. at noon, the seniors will meet at the church for lunch (provided) at noon and then we will go out to Spencer’s Home to sing to Darrell Hope and offer our encouragement.


PLEASE NOTE

This Wednesday, February 3rd.,  is prayer meeting for the adult classes at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.


Secret Pal Pot Luck Luncheon and Reveal Day

Saturday, Feb. 6th at noon in the gym

Even if you do not have or do not wish to have a secret pal, ALL LADIES are welcome to a Pot Luck luncheon to hear one of our favorite ladies, Nicole Johnson share via video. Sign-up sheet in foyer. Remember to bring your gift for reveal day.  Storm day….Feb 13, 2016


Silver Threads Ministry

On the 2nd. Tuesday of each month, the Silver Threads will be meeting to prepare meals for shut-ins or someone who just needs encouragement. The next date for food preparation will be February 9th , 2016 @ noon.  If you would like to contribute, please mark your envelope “meals for shut-ins”.


Ash Wednesday, February 10th

There will be all day prayer on Ash Wed. starting at 8 a.m. in the sanctuary.  Stop and pray on your way to work.  There will be juice, muffins, cheese and coffee in the foyer.  There will be someone at the church all day to pray.  Join us for as long as you have time.

  • At noon bring your lunch and join us around a table in the gym for prayer.
  • At 5:30 p.m. join us for baked beans and pancake supper
  • 6:30p.m. regular classes

Valentine Banquet

February 13th…….Tickets available today—$10.  Proceeds go to help the teens in a fund raiser for their next trip to a rally.


Naz Sleigh Ride at Centennial Park

February 20th at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 per person…only 20 seats available. Sign-up sheet in foyer.


Alabaster Sunday

Sunday, February 21st. is Alabaster Sunday.  This is the day (we give two Sundays a year) when we bring all our loose change which goes directly to missions.


Haiti Update

  1. Haiti Team “Sending off” service Feb. 21., at 6 p.m. at Lutes Mtn.
  2. Super Kids project for Haiti Mission trip…..making items to give to the Haitian children..
  3. Super Kids project…..trail mix from Bulk Barn.

Ladies Retreat

April 22-24….A fellowship event for women of all ages with inspiring messages by Inspirational speaker, Christy Foldenauer and music by Ruth Collins and her worship team.

Retreat theme—“Becoming – The journey toward Christlikeness”  Becoming who we were created to be is a work that happens in us rather than to us.

  • Registration Fees:  $70 by March 15

Mission Project is Big Lake Camp

  • $80 by March 30
  • $90 at the door
  • Saturday only – $50.

 Tuesday morning ladies class @ 10:30a.m.

ALL ladies Welcome. The study is based on the movie War Room.  “Prayer is a Powerful Weapon.”  “War Room” will strengthen your faith and ignite your passion for prayer.

  • Kindergarten, Grade 1-2, Grade 3-4, Grade 5-6, Youth,
  • Ladies class, Men’s class, and mixed adult class.

Church News Week of January 24, 2016

There will be a board meeting with District Superintendent, Dr. Clair MacMillan on January 26 @ 7 p.m

 

Men’s Breakfast

The men will meet for breakfast on January 30th at Mike’s restaurant at 9 a.m. Enjoy a great breakfast and even better fellowship. Sign-up sheet in foyer.


Next Sunday, January 31st., we will receive our once a year offering for NTS. Our money will assist students to attend and work on a graduate degree. Envelope in your bulletin.

Church News Week of January 3rd, 2016

Silver Threads Ministry

The seniors group, Silver Threads, plan to make meals for shut-ins and others in the congregation who could use some encouragement with a home cooked meal. They will be doing this on the 2nd. Tuesday of each month. The next date for food preparation will be January 12, 2016 @ 1:30. This is not a budgeted item, so all costs need to be donated. If you would like to contribute towards the cost of the food, please mark your envelope, “shut-ins”. If you would like to assist with the food preparation, please see either Donna or Audrey.


Movie night Fundraiser….”The War Room” In support of Team Haiti Mission 2016 Friday, January 15th, 7 p.m.


Regular monthly of the church board will be January 19 @ 7 p.m. and January 26 @ 7 p.m. there will be another board meeting with District Superintendent, Dr. Clair MacMillan.

ALL ladies Welcome.  The class will resume on January 12th, 2016 at the home of Barb MacDonald, 33 MacAleese Lane, Unit 10 We will be finishing the last chapter of “Perfectly Imperfect,” “Divine Appointments”.

  • Prayer Meeting on January 6th., 6:30 p.m.
  • Classes will resume January 13th, 2016
