Silver Threads Ministry

The seniors group, Silver Threads, plan to make meals for shut-ins and others in the congregation who could use some encouragement with a home cooked meal. They will be doing this on the 2nd. Tuesday of each month. The next date for food preparation will be January 12, 2016 @ 1:30. This is not a budgeted item, so all costs need to be donated. If you would like to contribute towards the cost of the food, please mark your envelope, “shut-ins”. If you would like to assist with the food preparation, please see either Donna or Audrey.


Regular monthly of the church board will be January 19 @ 7 p.m. and January 26 @ 7 p.m. there will be another board meeting with District Superintendent, Dr. Clair MacMillan.

Church News Week of December 20th, 2015

How are you doing with your Advent Readings? … Pastor Patti is encouraging us all to get into the Word in this blessed season. Interwoven through Advent and Christmas will be music of the season, special readings and, of course, messages that bring us to this season of waiting and anticipation.

“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” – Psalms 119:105

A special time of singing and scripture readings by candlelight. The choir will be singing.

“SIMPLY CHRISTMAS”…..

Over the next few weeks, you will notice various announcements that center around the seasons of Advent and Christmas.  While Pastor Patti will not be writing and directing a musical this year, there will be many ways you can enjoy the season with your church family.  Following the theme of “Simply Christmas”, we encourage you to watch for the activities coming up.


Calling ALL Choir Members

We are planning to sing on Christmas Eve. We will have a practice on December 16th at 7:45

Cookie Exchange

Dec. 10th. @ 7 p.m…….All ladies are welcome to come and share in a time of fellowship and “cookie exchange”. Bring your favorite 3 doz. or 6 doz. and take a variety home. Bring 6 to sample and share with coffee or tea. Also, bring your recipe to share.
