Naz. Café News

Starting today,   we again resumed  café with muffins, coffee and tea in the gym from 10 – 10:45.  If you could help with setting up tables and taking them down or help set up and clean up the coffee and tea, there is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

Muffins are being provided by a generous donor.

UPCOMING EVENTS

“CAN” struction of a pulpit for Thanksgiving Sunday…..We have around 300 cans and need 500 for the project.

We are asking all of you to bring in small cans of soup or vegetables of the same size (284 ml.) that will go to the West End Food Bank and Teen Challenge.  BUT…we’re not just collecting soup cans, we’re challenging ourselves to BUILD a new pulpit for Thanksgiving Sunday made entirely out of soup cans.  “CAN” WE DO IT?  We need a lot of soup – hundreds of cans to build our “canstruction” pulpit.  We hope you will be “souper” excited about our building and giving project!  Donation box in foyer. A big “THANK YOU” for the donations so far.


On Saturday, October 3rd., we invite families to gather at 9 a.m. at the church for a light continental breakfast and then drive toBelliveau Apple Orchards in Pre D’En Haut to pick apples.

Sign-up sheet for the breakfast is in the foyer.


Apple Pie Day – Saturday, October 10th……..9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Order sheets are in your bulletin.

Yes, we again will be making unbaked apple pies to sell.  This will be a “Haiti Group” fund raiser – all in time for your own Thanksgiving dinners!  Please speak to Kathy Yeomans if you are willing to help make pies.  Also, Friday night from 7 – 9 will be prep night.

MANY willing hands needed for this event!!!!!


Silver Threads Ministry – On October 19th., we will be going to Teen Challenge to join them for their morning chapel and lunch.  Meet at church at 8:30 a.m.

Silver Threads – November 3rd. @ NOON.  Potluck @ the church.


Men’s Breakfast – Saturday, November 14th., @ 9 a.m.  Keep the date open.  More details in the next few weeks.


Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast – October 16th., at 7 a.m. @ Crandall University.  See Donna for tickets ($20.)

  • Corn Boil, Barbeque and Bon Fire…On Sunday, September 27th., at 5 p.m. The Edgars are hosting a time of fellowship at their home.  Cost is $5 per person.  Bring your chairs please.  If the weather does not co-operate, we will meet at the church.  You might need an extra jacket if we go the Edgars since we will be outside.  Sign-up sheet is in the foyer.

A note from Audrey …

moncton first noteGetting all the fall programs started. One project we are working on is called “can”struction. We are trying to collect enough soup cans to construct a “pulpit” for thanksgiving Sunday. This week there are good deals at Sobeys and superstore. Sobeys has canned vegetables buy I get I and the soup at Superstore is 47 cents. There is a collection box in the foyer at church. Thanks for your continued giving.

Next Sunday is Alabaster Sunday

Remember to bring your boxes for our Alabaster march. All money given goes directly to the building of churches, schools, missions or clinics on the mission field.


Wednesday Programs

Our Wednesday programs begin on September 16th.  Plan to come at 5:30 for a barbeque and fellowship time.  A donation box will be available to cover food costs.  Classes begin at 6:30.

Children’s Ministry…….There is a need for treats or snacks for the children. If you can help out, it would be greatly appreciated. There is a basket at the front door for collections.


Fall Kick-off Sunday, September 13th

Each teacher will be introducing what curriculum they will be teaching.


The Wednesday night program will begin September 16 with a Bar-B-Q at 5:30 and classes at 6:30.
