A BIG “THANK YOU” to Joel Poirier, Austin Slater and George and Audrey Flynn for the awesome job they did on the flower beds surrounding the church. Later, we will be filling in the vacant spots with perennials. If you have any to contribute, please see George.


Big Lake

There will be a Baptismal Service at Big Lake Camp Aug. 2nd at 3 PM.  See Pastor Patti or call church office @ 858-9308.

We will be having our First Church pot luck following the baptism at Lot #1, Acil & Linda Cole’s trailer site. Ask Andy for directions and he will point you in the right direction. Please bring your chairs.

Joel Poirier will be working with our Children’s ministry for the summer under the direction of Kathy Yeomans.  Thank you Joel for your willingness to tackle any job set before you.

Special Announcement

On June 28, Pastor Gary, after 23 years of pastoral ministry in the Church of the Nazarene, announced his resignation to embark upon a specialized ministry recognized by the Church of the Nazarene. This decision follows years of preparation, prayerful planning and a lengthy recruitment process. Pastor Gary will be serving as a Nazarene chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Chaplaincy Service. As a captain in the Canadian Army he has been posted to CFB Valcartier in Quebec City. Our pastor will be the first Canadian chaplain from the Church of the Nazarene assigned to serve our country and denomination as a regular force chaplain. Our District Superintendent Dr. MacMillan will be working with our local church board during this time of pastoral transition. Let us all commit ourselves to prayer.

Silver Threads Ministry

The Silver Threads had a wonderful day on PEI last Tuesday.  If you are 55+, you should consider joining in on the fun.  Thanks to Donna Gillies for her planning of our outings and events.


Next Sunday – Pot Luck Fellowship

In response to Pastor Gary and Pastor Matt’s resignation, there will be an All- Church fellowship Pot Luck following the service on Sunday July 26th.  Please bring a main dish to share. Dessert, rolls and drinks will be provided.

Silver Threads Ministry

Seniors outing to PEI

We will leave the church at 9 am.  Places of interest we have on our list to explore are Gate Way Villages, Lunch at 11:30 at Boomburgers, Stanhope, Brackley Pottery Place and Supper at 5 p.m. at Fishermans Wharf.

Thank you to all who gave towards “Send a Kid to Camp”  $1,975 was raised to help offset the cost to families. 11 children are going for this week.  Please remember to pray for them.
