All Church Christmas Dinner

  • December 3rd @ 6 p.m.

This is a turkey dinner with all the trimmings.  Free tickets are available in the foyer.  Please take only the amount you need and return any extra.  We have only so many tickets available so get your tickets right away.

Our guest speaker will be Rev. Eddie Rossiter, (pastor of the Summerside church) son of Charlie & Pastor Patti. Special music and a carol sing will round out the evening.

 

December 10th. – Special Offering for Needy Family

We will be collecting for a needy family on the district and a needy family locally this year on Dec. 10th.,  Please mark your envelope “for needy family”.

“An Evening in December” – December 10th

A presentation from our choir and various groups. Tickets are available in the foyer.  We need someone to be at the church for three hour shifts to answer the phone when people call to place their order for tickets the week of Nov. 27  and Dec. 4..  The tickets are free but we need to know how many are attending.  Please see Dot Petherick if you are willing to do a shift.

Ladies Christmas Tea

This event was a huge success and we want to THANK ALL who helped in any way to make this evening the success that it was.  A special thanks to Dot Petherick and Sharon Hamilton for all their work in the preparation for such an event.  There were around 160 ladies here.  Also, thank you to the men who served and did the clean up.  Well done…wonderful job by all.

 

Fitness Program

Do you want to improve your fitness and overall general health? If so, we have just the program for you – “Get Moving”. We have a walking program in the gym every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. It is open to the community, so bring along a friend, a neighbor, or a relative. And wear your walking shoes, because we are going to take steps to better health and a better you. If you need a ride or have any questions, contact Beverly Nicol at 800-1577.

We will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service that begins at 6:00 p.m.  Special music, scripture readings, congregational carols, etc.  Plan now to invite your family to attend and discover once again the true meaning of Christmas.

Mitten Tree

Everyone loves homemade mittens!  We are asking anyone who knits to help us get ready for our Christmas program when every child who comes will get a free pair of mittens.  Extras will be donated to charity. If you don’t knit, feel free to purchase a pair of mittens to donate.

On November 20 @ 6 p.m., Monday, we need helpers to trim the chuirch.  We need to get it done before the ladies tea the following Thursday.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Apple Pie Day

There were 290 pies made.  A big “Thank You” to all who came to help.  There was $1663.00 raised for the NYI fund.

District NYI November Rally 3rd-5th

Our district youth will be with us the first weekend in November.  On Saturday evening,  they will be having an outdoor concert at Victoria Park.  We are invited to go with them as a prayer presence and to help in any area as needed.  Would you please be in prayer for this weekend with our youth.

The children’s department leaders are asking for snack size treats that can be used throughout the season for Super Kids and Junior church.  If you would like to help us with this, just bring in a box and give it to our children’s director, Kathy Yeomans.

Mayors Prayer Breakfast

@ Wingate by Wyndham, 69 Rue du Marche, Dieppe.   Greater Moncton Mayor’s prayer breakfast will be on Friday, Oct. 27th., @ 7 a.m.  Tickets are $25.  If you would like to attend, please see Paula Ryder for a ticket. (384-1831) Speaker is Dr. Bob Taylor.
