Fall Program

Here we are almost half way through August, and as much as we want summer to continue – FALL IS COMING!  And with fall, comes our new fall programs.  We will be doing a study “Believe” which is a follow up to “The Story”.

Grounded in Scripture, “BELIEVE” is a unique discipleship experience that helps Christians of all ages become more like Jesus in their beliefs, actions, and character. This topical, abridge Bible illuminates the core beliefs of the Christian faith to help you think, act, and be more like Christ.

General editor and pastor Randy Frazee walks you through ten key beliefs of the Christian faith, ten key practices of a Jesus-follower, and ten key virtues that characterize someone who is becoming more like Jesus.

Equipping the whole church, from the little ones to the most seasoned members, to believe the core truths of the Bible and to become more like Jesus every day.

Super Kids program starts September 12th.

Back to the Basics

Back to the Basics Sunday, September 9 is fast approaching.  On this particular Sunday, the Adult Sunday School class will begin with Dr. Stewart teaching. Grab a coffee or tea and come to the class that begins at

9:30 AM. Will be held in the former District office, just outside the sanctuary. Pastor Patti will be preaching from the first chapter of “Believe” so you will want to get a head start and begin to read that chapter. Following the service, there will be a pot luck dinner in the gym for all. We are asking everyone to bring two dishes – one main dish and the other, dessert.  Drinks provided.   Invite a friend to come with you and stay for lunch!

Small Groups will be starting up in a few weeks.  Why not join a group, learn from the Word while enjoying fellowship and fun within a group?

Sign up sheets next week.

PRAISE: Recently, Musa Kunene was appointed field strategy coordinator for the Africa South Field. Kunene currently serves as superintendent of the eSwatini Central District (formerly the Swaziland Central District), a role he will continue, in addition to his responsibilities of field strategy coordinator. Kunene is a graduate of Nazarene Theological College—Manchester (England) and Southern Africa Nazarene University in eSwatini. According to Global Missions for the Church of the Nazarene, a field strategy coordinator is “the representative of the regional director on the respective field and is responsible for administering the affairs of the Global Missions office by coordinating, guiding, and directing all Global Missions work among districts, national leaders, and missionary personnel in the assigned field.” Give thanks for Musa’s leadership in the past, and pray that he will be able to incorporate these additional responsibilities smoothly into his work and schedule.
